Smokin'
straight out of the Foothills of the great Smokey Mountains
with all of their Ablazin Grace, Clarence
Creek is definitely a force to be reckoned with. The band has
been together since February of 2000 with current line up,
Jamie Mandrell (Nashville, TN) Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar;
Donnie Hutsell (Knoxville,Tn) Drums,
Backing Vocals; Kevin Rigney
(Manchester, TN) Lead Guitar; Lance Stidham
(Knoxville, TN) B3, Piano; Chris Russell,
(Loudon, TN) Bass Guitar. Clarence Creek is currently burning up the
road supporting their debut release "Cigarettes, Guitars
& Gasoline". Their music has been labeled as many
different sounds such as cutting edge country, southern rock, country
rock and so on. Such as it is...NO labels have ever given justice
to the true sound that Clarence Creek has developed in the past year.
With all of the new Techno, Rap, Grunge and Alternative which has
taken over the music scene over the past decade, Clarence Creek definitely
stands alone with their self-branded "Cowboy
Rock n Roll". In the fine tradition of good ole fashion
Rock n Roll with a strong southern flavor, Clarence Creek is definitely
"Keepin it Real", with a wide array of influences such as
Travis Tritt, Steve Earle, Charlie Daniels, all the way to more extreme
influences such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tesla, Junkyard and Jason and the
Scorchers.
To say the least, Clarence Creek has developed a true original and
unique sound of their very own. Those, along with their energetic
in your face live performances, are the two key ingredients of Clarence
Creek's local success.
With all that said, do yourself a favor and do not miss a chance to
catch "The Creek Boys" hard
at work on their Rock n Roll rodeo tour of 2002.
